Top archeological discoveries that prove the bible

Lately I’ve been inspired to post this because of the news that keeps popping up on my various social media feeds. I’ve done my research and I am already convicted, however there are people that continue to believe that the bible not only isn’t the word of God, but nothing more than fairly tales or mythology. Well, I understand that no one article will ever convince a skeptic, but you might want to check in to your world view. Just to be sure 😉

This article will be edited for accuracy, as I learn new things. There are also tons of these type of blogs online, these are just ones that are new to me.

The Merneptah Stele

It’s funny that I just watched a TikTok video that stated that “the Biblical Israel never existed”. It’s just another fake story in the fake Bible. I won’t link it, I don’t really want to draw undue attention. Should we tell them tho? So far, everything I’ve read says this is the real deal.

The Merneptah Stele, also referred to as the Israel Stele, is an ancient artifact discovered in 1896 at Thebes, Egypt. Dated to around 1208 BCE, the stele is a significant historical document as it contains the earliest-known mention of Israel in ancient Egyptian records. The inscription, attributed to Pharaoh Merneptah, boasts about the military victories and accomplishments of his reign, including a mention of subjugating Israel. This reference to Israel provides valuable evidence for the presence of an entity by that name in the ancient Levant during the 13th century BCE, contributing to our understanding of the region’s early history.

Beyond its reference to Israel, the Merneptah Stele also details Merneptah’s military campaign in the Levant, claiming victories over various peoples and regions. This makes the stele a crucial resource for scholars studying ancient Egyptian military activities and their interactions with neighboring civilizations. Today, the artifact is displayed at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, where it continues to captivate historians and enthusiasts alike with its insights into the ancient world and the intricate web of relationships between ancient civilizations.

3 times more water found inside the Earth (Underground) than in all the Oceans.

Remember Genesis? (It’s the 1st book in the bible) Well, genesis says that there was one hell of a flood many years ago. And everything on Earth basically died except the family of a single man and all the animals he brought with him on a huge ship he made. It causes quite the debate, or laughs, depending on your circle. I mean, where did all that water even come from anyway? The bible DOES indeed say it rained. Like a lot. But enough rain to cover all the Earth’s mountains? Let’s not skip where it says that water also came up from below… which also sounds ridiculous on the surface.

Genesis 7:11-24 New International Version

11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month—on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened. 12 And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.

Also, don’t forget the act of creation itself

Genesis 2:6

5 Now no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth, nor had any plant of the field sprouted; for the LORD God had not yet sent rain upon the earth, and there was no man to cultivate the ground. 6 But springs welled up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground. 7 Then the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being.…

“That doesn’t even make sense! Now WHY would the bible make something like that up? ” Well, it didn’t just make it up. There is empirical scientific evidence. Take, for instance:

Ringwoodite

Ringwoodite is a high-pressure form of the mineral olivine, known for its significance in Earth’s mantle and the potential insights it offers into the planet’s geology. This mineral is notable for its occurrence at depths of over 400 kilometers within the Earth, where high pressures and temperatures transform olivine into ringwoodite. Its crystal structure is able to host water molecules, making it a key component in understanding the distribution and behavior of water within the Earth’s interior. The presence of ringwoodite has prompted scientific curiosity and investigations to unravel the mysteries of the Earth’s deep water cycle and the role it plays in various geological processes.

Researchers have studied ringwoodite to gain a deeper understanding of the Earth’s mantle dynamics and the transportation of water through subduction zones. The unique properties of ringwoodite have provided valuable clues about the potential reservoirs of water deep within the Earth, surpassing the water volume present in the planet’s oceans. As investigations into ringwoodite continue, scientists aim to unlock the secrets of water storage and circulation within the Earth’s mantle, shedding light on the complex interplay between water, minerals, and geological phenomena at immense depths beneath the planet’s surface.

In conclusion, the archaeological discoveries discussed above provide compelling evidence that supports the historical accuracy of the Bible. These findings not only confirm the existence of significant biblical figures and events but also shed light on the cultural and historical context in which these events took place. While it is important to approach archaeological evidence with critical analysis, the numerous discoveries of ancient artifacts, inscriptions, and ruins continue to strengthen the credibility of the biblical narrative. These archaeological findings offer valuable insights into the rich tapestry of biblical history and serve as a bridge between the ancient world and the modern reader. While faith and belief are deeply personal, the archaeological discoveries discussed here provide a solid foundation for those who seek to understand the historical accuracy of the Bible.
