As I’ve gotten older my feelings about Christmas have… let’s say changed. I remember as a child, searching the house with the gusto of a great detective for presents in the days prior to Christmas. These days, I’ll see a pulsating light or ornament and I mutter a silent “Bah Humbug” under my breath.

Because I know this holiday, while being the clear front runner of holidays is also just a consumer nightmare of planning, execution and ultimately depression when you look into the rolling eyes of your family who seem to get harder and harder to please each passing year.

I try not to be so jaded and negative about Christmas after all it’s the most wonderful time of the year, or at least as Andy Williams would have you believe. Which is a song that for decades I’ve always heard in Frank Sinatra’s voice somehow…

But just like the work weeks seems like you’re just working for the weekend. Each year the main event is Christmas…. and it’s up you YOU to make it rock harder than the year before. It’s a tiring tradition.
