Frequently Asked Questions

How does email integration work?

Booth Buddy is currently a "Send-Only" collection tool. It captures your leads into a CSV file, which you can then import into your preferred email software (like Brevo, Mailchimp, etc.) to manage your campaigns. Future updates will include automated contact syncing.

How do I enable the live weather complication?

To use the weather feature, enter your API key from OpenWeather into the app settings and ensure your event location ZIP code is correctly entered in the event fields.

Do I need the same Google account on all tablets?

Yes. Currently, Booth Buddy licenses are tied to the Google account used for the initial download. To use the app on multiple devices, they must all be logged into the same Google Play account.

Can I customize the prize wheel?

The prize wheel is currently provided as a standard, pre-set attraction tool to ensure reliable performance on all devices. We are evaluating options for custom prize labels in future versions.

How can I keep my tablet running all day?

Because Booth Buddy is designed to stay "Always On" as a digital billboard, it will consume battery faster than a standard tablet screen. We strongly recommend using a high-quality, long USB-C cable and a 20W+ power adapter. For long events, consider an external power bank or a tablet stand that accommodates a charging cable while in use.

What happens if I have no Wi-Fi at the event?

Booth Buddy was built for the "chaos of the market." You do not need Wi-Fi or cellular service for the app to function. All leads and event data are saved directly to your tablet's local storage. You only need an internet connection when you are ready to export your CSV or send your data to your email provider.

I forgot my Admin PIN. How do I reset it?

For security, the Admin PIN is stored locally. If you forget your PIN, you will need to clear the app's data via your Android Tablet Settings: Apps > Booth Buddy > Storage > Clear Data. Note: Please ensure you have exported your current lead data via CSV before doing this, as clearing the app data will remove any unsaved entries.
